Business Development Manager – Southern Regions
(Birmingham, Basingstoke, Heathrow, Avonmouth)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Southern Regions of the company for a Business Development Manager. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing new business across multiple branches. You will be required to understand and uncover the client’s needs to ensure Wingate offer the best solution. Your goal will be to develop relationships and secure new business. You will have experience selling a service and demonstrate success and target achievement in previous roles.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow up on new business opportunities and meet with clients
- Planning and preparing presentations
- Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature
- Reporting direct to board directors on pipeline works
- Overseeing the tender process for individual projects from enquiry through to tender process to contract award
- Building and providing initial budget figures and scope of works for the client prior to be handed over to the estimating department
- Attend events to network and create leads
- Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of our product / service by working closely with our regional contracts managers
- Build a strong pipeline of relevant opportunities to deliver against sales targets
Requirements
- 2 years + experience within a similar role
- Knowledge of the electrical and construction industry is desirable
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets in business development / new business environment
- Excellent selling skills built on trust and reliability
- Proven ability to identify and develop new business
- Strong, repeatable and reliable sales methodology to plan and develop sales
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure profitable contracts
- Full UK driving license
