PARTNERING

For a Project Team from a Main Contractor to place any works package they have to feel comfortable with the choice they have made. When a competitive tender is invited the criteria for making that choice could include Lowest Price, Past Knowledge of Performance & Personnel, Financial Stability, Health & Safety Record, Sustainability, Committed Workload, Design Assistance, Quality of Equipment and probably more?

Some of our clients decided that a competitive tender could compromise their own choice criteria and took the initiative to research these with us first – then enter into a partnering agreement after Director or Main Board level approval.

This approach has been successful for our clients (as well as ourselves) and amongst the many benefits available it has been recognised that we are administratively ‘less maintenance’ for the project team to manage than competitively tendered packages.

A partnering agreement depends on trust and every agreement we have engaged in to date has been unique by being ‘Tailor-Made’ to suit the requirements of the company we are partnering. No two agreements have been the same yet various options are available.
