HEATHROW TERMINAL 3 INTEGRATED BAGGAGE
With 73.4 million passengers arriving at and departing from Heathrow Airport in 2014, baggage handling is a key and complex issue which has seen a lot of investment in recent years.

VERWOOD SOLAR FARM
A Photovoltaic Solar Farm has been constructed in Verwood, Dorset. This was built on low grade agricultural land and a programme of “ecological improvement”. During the life cycle of the farm, this will include the installation of bat boxes and the sowing of wild flowers/grasses for birds, bees and butterflies.
STRATTON HALL SOLAR FARM
Construction of a new 11.8MW Photovoltaic Solar Farm, located in the south of Suffolk, close to the Harwich Harbour on the south coast of England which housed more than 47,000 free standing solar panels and generated enough carbon-free energy to power 3,880 local households.
Royal Liverpool University Hospital

NEW STONE HOUSE SOLAR FARM

Ferrybridge Multifuel 1 (FM1)
Multifuel Energy Limited (MEL) is constructing a new £300 million multifuel plant on land owned by SSE at Ferrybridge ‘C’ Power Station near Knottingley in West Yorkshire. This project is called Ferrybridge Multifuel 1 (FM1).
BURBO BANK WIND FARM EXTENSION
Balfour Beatty has been awarded a £12 million scheme to develop an onshore substation to facilitate the transfer of electricity from the Burbo Bank Extension Wind Farm in North Wales to the National Grid for Dong Energy.
BLUEGATE SOLAR FARM
Construction of a new 10.5MW Photovoltaic Solar Farm on a former quarry which was being used as poor quality agricultural land.
London 2012 Olympic Park
March 2008 – where it all began – the ODA (Olympic Delivery Authority) awarded us the ‘Temporary Utilities Infrastructure’ package and had already appointed their Construction Delivery Partner; CLM to manage Tier 1 Contractors, of which we were one. With CLM we forged a very strong and productive day-to-day working relationship to produce high quality installations
Gwynt y Mor Offshore Wind Farm
This is currently the largest wind farm project in Europe. The value is 2billion (EURO) and consists of 160 Wind Turbines. Once operational it will produce an installed capacity of 576MW using Siemens 3.6MW turbines and generators. It will be capable of generating enough energy to meet the average annual energy requirements for around 400,000 homes.
Heathrow Airport Terminal 2A
Heathrow’s current major project is the construction of a vast new Terminal 2. The first phase of which will cover an area of 180,000m2. This new home for Star Alliance carriers was opened in 2014. A second phase, replacing Terminal 1, will open in 2019. Formerly known as Heathrow East, the whole project will occupy a site of similar size to Terminal 5.
The construction of a new build station on the East London line extension. We were commissioned to supply and install the complete Mechanical and Electrical Services. All installation works adhered to the Network Rail and LUL standards.
BskyB Building 2
The construction of a mixed use building for Sky. The project value is in the region of £80m. The development is a building which comprises approximately 41,000m2 which will include office space, studio production and research/development facilities, together with a new Energy Centre.
Four Ashes Energy from Waste Plant
This £160m project for Veolia Environmental Services involved the construction of a 300,000 tonne per annum Energy Recovery Facility on land at Four Ashes in Staffordshire. Clugston Construction, with technology partner CNIM delivered the turnkey project over a 125 week period. Now completed, the plant will generate 22MW of electricity.
Carrington CCGT Plant
The construction of a new £500m, 880MW Combined Gas Turbine Power Plant in Greater Manchester. The station is being built using the latest natural gas combined cycle technology to ensure maximum energy efficiency and minimal impact to the environment. Once finished it will be one of the most efficient power stations in the UK.
Lexham Solar Farm
Construction of a new 8MW Photovoltaic Solar Farm in Norfolk. We were the installation team behind all of the electrical components associated with the DC generation on the project, installation of HV ducting, HV cable, CCTV power supplies and site monitoring equipment.
