PV SOLAR POWER PANELS

We recently completed an 880KwP Photo Voltaic Solar panel installation for the ‘Body Shop’ distribution premises in Littlehampton, West Sussex. This is one of the largest systems installed in the UK and was the largest Self-Funded on completion in July 2011.

The system cost was £2.8M and was completed in a five-week period using a total of 4000 P230-3 Solar Modules, 40 Diehl 22000TL inverters with 120 DC Solar strings (three for each inverter) and over 20,000 metres of 6mm DC cable installed to isolators and PV panels.

We also completed the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) handover using our own DVS3-MK2 digital voltage source tester to undertake the G59/2 relay injection tests.

This significant investment by the Body Shop will supply 75% of their distribution depots power and lighting requirement as well as a financial return for the feed-in tariff electricity consumption back in to the National Grid.
